Description

The Bayou Diesel Band has been has been performing Louisiana style cajun, zydeco and New Orleans dance tunes throughout the bayous and valleys of Western North Carolina since 2002. Led by Steve Burnside on accordion and Tall Paul on bass, the group has performed everywhere from Merlefest to Bele Chere to Asheville’s Downtown After 5. Continuing to be a top rate dance band the group plies the clublands and wedding landscapes of the Southern Appalachian tapestry.

On Friday July 1st, Nantahala Outdoor Center will present the Bayou Diesel quartet. With accordions, fiddles, rubboard, electric bass and Cajun French lyrics over high energy two-steps and waltzes, the Bayou Diesel band delivers a fun and upbeat Crescent City sound that just shouts “let the good times roll !”.  Add a little old-school country and rock and roll and Bayou Diesel is ready to hit the rumble strips with a crawfish boil full of family fun and dancing. Laissez les bon temps rouler.
