Garrett first became interested in river-related adventures when he was working as a camp counselor and took on a Nantahala Rafting adventure with Nantahala Outdoor Center. He has now been with NOC for seven years, is getting his Wilderness First Responder certification with SOLO Southeast, has been named the 2019 Outpost Guide of the Year, and recently rafted the Grand Canyon!
During the winter season Garrett works as a Snowmobile Guide in South Lake Tahoe. He enjoys traveling as much as possible, but notes that he is most proud of his river family at the Ocoee – a group of eclectic relationships in a tight-knit community.
