Tsali Adventure Triathlon 2015

Join MedicForce on October 3, 2015 for the Tsali Adventure Triathlon—an off-road triathlon featuring 3-mile paddle, 5-mile trail run and 12-mile mountain bike stages at the Tsali Recreation Area. A grat event for individuals or teams, the Tsali Adventure Triathlon is also a charity event raising funds for a local non-profit.

Race Details

The race starts with a 3-mile circumnavigation of Bear Island on Fontana Lake, accompanied with stunning views of the Great Smoky National Park. Competitiors will then run 5-miles of trail along Tsali’s Right Loop Trail, largely following the shoreline of Fontana Lake. The trail is shaded, single-track with moderate elevation change. For the final stage, competitors will tackle the 12-mile Left Loop Trail on mountain bikes. Expect fast, winding, single-track with long descents and a few challenging climbs.

Need Gear?

Those who don’t have their own gear can rent a kayak, SUP or mountain bike from event partners—Nantahala Outdoor Center and Bryson City Bicycles.

Who is MedicForce?

The Tsali Adventure Triathlon is a funraiser for MedicForce, a locoal 501(C)3 non-profit organization. MedicForce workds to estables sustainable healthcare systems in rural communities around the world through education, infrastructure and support. Proceeds will support MedicForce’s international and domestic projects, including medical clinics in Kenya and Guatemala.
