Basecamp, NOC’s budget-friendly hostel-style lodging is located steps from the Appalachian Trail on NOC’s Nantahala River adventure campus. This is the premier lodging choice for retreats and large groups, featuring accommodations for up to 122 people. Basecamp is the ultimate home base for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers: whitewater rafting, zip lining, mountain biking, paddling, and more are at your doorstep!
Basecamp is located on the Appalachian Trail at NB mile marker 137.1 and SB mile marker 2,052.1.
Handicap units are available for guests. A shared community building contains a kitchen, dining hall, and charcoal grill. Both men’s and women’s community bathhouses contain showers, bathrooms, and changing areas. Coin-operated laundry is available beside the General Store. Each bunkhouse includes twin mattresses, heating, and air conditioning units. Linens, dishes, utensils, and cookware are not provided.
Basecamp is pet-friendly; dogs are permitted in private rooms for an additional fee of $15/night (Max 1 dog, 80lbs or less).
