Tubing

Take a tubing trip on the Chattahoochee River to discover Atlanta’s calm side! Shooting the Hooch is a well-known outdoor activity outside of Atlanta that is hassle-free and available with NOC. Based at Azalea Park near Roswell and Sandy Springs, two towns north of Atlanta, NOC is the only outfitter operating in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.

For those interested in the leisurely float trip from Johnson Ferry to Powers Island or the Class I–II whitewater adventure from Powers Island to Paces Mill, NOC offers tubing rentals and shuttle services. Gorgeous vistas of the Chattahoochee’s vivid granite outcrops, wooded shorelines, and mild currents can be seen from either of Atlanta’s tubing routes.

If you’re in the mood for even more action, check out NOC’s selection of river and bike rentals, which includes canoes, stand-up paddleboards, and kayaks for one-way or return trips. Alternatively, rent a conventional or electric bike and ride along Azalea Park’s charming paths.
