Due to the ongoing emergency caused by Hurricane Helene and the road closures ordered by Governor Cooper in North Carolina, the NOC is suspending all Rafting and Adventure Operations. This suspension will remain in place until the road closures are lifted and supply chains return to normal.
However, NOC's Retail, Lodging, and the Rivers End Restaurant will remain open to locals, emergency responders, and staff in need. Please note that the restaurant may have limited operations due to potential food delivery delays. Our Bryson City campus has power, and Wi-Fi is available for those who need it.
The Backyard at Wesser Campus has been reopened and we have potable water, WIFI and bathrooms available for the public
We will keep everyone updated as the situation progresses. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time! Stay safe, and for the latest road conditions, you can check Drivenc.gov.
