The Hemlocks by NOC offers newly constructed mountainside bungalows tucked among the trees, just a short walk from the Nantahala River and within easy reach of Lake Fontana, Flint Ridge, and the Appalachian Trail.
Enjoy the peace and privacy of a quiet mountain setting while staying close to outdoor adventures, dining, shopping, and everything the Nantahala Gorge has to offer.
Inside, each bungalow pairs modern comfort with thoughtful amenities, including a king bedroom, kitchenette, washer and dryer, dishwasher, cozy sitting area with a modern fireplace, and flat-screen TVs in both the living area and bedroom. Step outside onto a spacious deck to relax, take in the mountain views, and enjoy the surrounding forest.
Whether you’re winding down after a day on the river or settling in for a quiet mountain getaway, The Hemlocks offers a comfortable home base for experiencing the best of Western North Carolina.
The Hemlocks come in two configurations:
- Single King Bedroom + Full Bathroom
- Two King Bedrooms + 2 Bathrooms
There are two ADA Units on the upper ridge level with access to the main parking area.

Pets: Dogs are permitted in select units for an additional fee of $30/night (Max 2 dogs, 80lbs or less). Hemlocks #1 and #2 are designated as no-pet units to ensure the comfort of all guests, including those with allergies and sensitivities. Guests traveling with service animals are welcome, and we are happy to assist in finding units that meet their specific needs. Please note that emotional support animals are not considered service animals under ADA guidelines.
