NOC in the winter

Winter

Cold Weather Favorites at NOC

Winter at Nantahala Outdoor Center means cozy cabins, river views, and warm meals in the Nantahala Gorge. Stay in a mountainside deluxe cabin in the heart of campus, just steps from the Appalachian Trail, or in our Dogwood Motel, with spacious King and Twin rooms and a beautiful community area!

Head just across the Nantahala River by way of NOC’s Founder’s Bridge and enjoy shopping at the Outfitter’s Store, carrying the latest adventure wear and gear from industry leading brands. Grab a warm beverage and comforting meal from River’s End Restaurant, open for indoor dining with river views just out the window, or order takeout and enjoy it to go!

Just a short drive away is downtown Bryson City! Enjoy small shops, local restaurants and breweries, and events in the area. Guests even embark on local hikes with picturesque views, skiing, and train rides through the mountains. Winter in Western North Carolina has so much to offer!
