NOC provides a range of adventures and courses, from single-day to multi-day options. Whether it’s a gentle introduction for younger troops or a thrilling high adventure, we offer a wider selection of itineraries than any other outfitter in the region. We’re also happy to tailor a journey that meets your troop’s specific needs!

Choose from whitewater rafting trips on seven different rivers in the Southeast. Spend a day navigating the Wild and Scenic Chattooga River, or go for an extended experience with multi-day packages that include rafting on the Nantahala River, zip-lining, hiking, and more.

Skills Training

With over 40 years of experience, NOC excels in delivering group adventures and skill-building in leadership, teamwork, and environmental education through various adventures and courses.

The SOLO Southeast School offers premier instruction in wilderness medicine, first aid, and survival skills, ideal for outdoor education and survival training.

At the renowned NOC Paddling School, you’ll find exceptional kayak and canoe instruction. Our expert guides expertly balance excitement with safety and educational elements to create impactful experiences for all participants.

With onsite lodging conveniently located near the Appalachian Trail, scouts often benefit from staying at the Nantahala River facilities overnight and exploring the Nantahala Gorge during the day.
