Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) Temporarily Suspends Adventure Operations Amid Hurricane Helene

BRYSON CITY, NC (Sept. 30, 2024) – In response to Hurricane Helene and the resulting emergency road closures ordered by Governor Cooper in North Carolina, Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) is temporarily suspending all rafting and adventure operations. This suspension will remain in effect until road closures are lifted and supply chains return to normal.

AVAILABILITY FOR EMERGENCY RESPONDERS:
NOC’s retail, lodging, and the River’s End Restaurant will remain open to local residents, emergency responders, and staff in need. Please note that the restaurant may operate with limited services due to potential delays in food deliveries.

NOC’s Bryson City campus has power, and Wi-Fi is available for those who may need access during this time.
