2025 Slalom & Kayak Cross Age Group Nationals
Description
The Nantahala Racing Club is excited to partner with the American Canoe Association (ACA) and Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) to host the 2025 Canoe Slalom Age Group National Championships!
Racers will take two canoe slalom runs on Saturday, followed by the Kayak Cross Individual and head-to-head races on Sunday. The 18-22-gate slalom race and the Kayak Cross event will take place at the lower Bridge Gates. Participants should be comfortable on class II whitewater and have a solid roll. Awards will go to the top three U14s, U16s, U18s, and Masters in each class (takes at least three boats to make a class). The race entry fee is $50 for the weekend and includes an event T-shirt.
Saturday, July 26 – Slalom Race
9:00 am – First runs: WK1, MK1, WC1, MC1, Rec (see start list for detailed athlete times)
10:30 am – Second runs: WK1, MK1, WC1, MC1, Rec (see start list for detailed athlete times)
1:30 pm – Awards ceremony at NRC Trailer
Sunday, July 27 — Kayak Cross
9:30 am — Kayak Cross Individual Phase (Time Trial)
10:15 am — Brackets posted at NRC Trailer
10:30 am — Start of head-to-head competition
1:00 pm — Awards ceremony at NRC Trailer
