——THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED FOR 2021——

Who: Women-identifying BIPOC and Allies ages 18 and older.
What: Full day of yoga, paddling, and dinner.
When: Saturday, June 5th. Yoga begins at 7AM. If you do not want to participate in the yoga session, you can check-in at 9AM. Dinner is included and will end around 7:30PM.
Where: Nantahala Outdoor Center near Bryson City, North Carolina.

Join Diversify Whitewater, a national nonprofit that works to share the beauty of paddling with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), and allies, for a fun and free day of yoga, whitewater rafting, and community building on the beautiful Nantahala River!

Diversify Whitewater is proud to collaborate with Nantahala Outdoor Center and Anna Levesque of Mind Body Paddle to host this Community River day in conjunction with Women’s Paddlefest.

No equipment is needed and no experience is required to participate!

This full day of yoga, paddling, and dinner is for women-identifying BIPOC and allies ages 18 and older. Participants will begin their Saturday at Nantahala Outdoor Center with a 7AM yoga session with Anna Levesque, or are invited to check-in after yoga at 9AM for the remainder of Saturday’s Women’s Paddlefest events.

During the Nantahala River portion, participants will have the options of joining in a raft with an experienced river guide, or trying an inflatable one or two-person kayak. All participants will receive a free event t-shirt and be entered into a free raffle to win adventure gear and apparel donated by our generous sponsors: Nantahala Outdoor Center, Dagger Kayaks, Werner Paddles, Kokatat, Immersion Research, Watershed Dry Bags and others. Your day will conclude with a free dinner for all participants!

The Diversify Whitewater Community River Day is part of the Annual Women’s Paddlefest, a celebration which runs from June 5-6. Local lodging is at your own expense, and more information can be found at the registration link.
