Mickey grew up whitewater canoeing, hiking, camping, and biking with his family; for him it just made sense to seek a career doing something he already loved and enjoyed! Nantahala Outdoor Center was top of his list when applying to work at Outfitters, and he has now been at NOC for seven years. Mickey holds his Wilderness First Responder certification.
Mickey is proud to have helped facilitate wilderness experiences for guests that instill a sense of pride and responsibility for rivers and the wild places that surround them. When Mickey isn’t on the water with NOC, you can find him enjoying multi-day river trips and traveling as much as possible, backpacking, rock climbing and working on his car.
