Each year, we recognize a select group of guides who go above and beyond, embodying the spirit of adventure and excellence that defines NOC. Central Reservations Office Guide: Chris Young
Since joining in 2023, Chris has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the NOC Reservations team, handling a high volume of reservations and ensuring guests have a seamless experience. He’s a team player, always willing to help colleagues and guests alike, and his passion for connecting people with the NOC experience is evident. Whether supporting a CRO Reservationist or ensuring a guest has a fantastic time, Chris exemplifies NOC’s core values.
Chattahoochee Roswell Guide: Nico Tennenbaum
Nico is the epitome of a go-getter in her third year with NOC Roswell. She’s mastered every role she’s taken on, from retail to shuttling, and her ability to connect with Spanish-speaking guests has been invaluable. Nico’s dedication and can-do attitude make her a true asset.
Chattahoochee Metro Guide: Rex Maddux
Rex follows in his family’s footsteps as a Guide of the Year. A natural leader and tireless worker, Rex’s organizational skills and dedication to ensuring the equipment is in top shape have earned him the title Raft Tzar.
Chattahoochee Camps Guide: Chelsea Peterson
Chelsea’s vibrant personality and passion for the outdoors make her a perfect fit for the camp team. She connects effortlessly with campers, prioritizing their safety while fostering a love for the river and its surroundings.
Pigeon Guide: Anna Cawthon
In her third season, Anna excelled as a first-year Trip Leader and took on additional responsibilities to help the Pigeon team thrive. She’s a true leader, always ready to lend a hand, and embodies NOC’s core values.
Chattooga Guide: Alann Grigsby
Alann goes above and beyond her bus-driving duties, tackling plumbing issues and ensuring the smooth operation of trips. She’s a hardworking team player who exemplifies the “work hard, play hard” spirit.
French Broad Guide: Johnny Korte
A role model for the team, Johnny’s dedication extends beyond his work hours. He’s always eager to learn and help others grow, making him an invaluable member of the French Broad team.
Ocoee Guide: Jesse Richards
Raised with NOC’s core values, Jessie is a natural leader and caring teammate. She’s always there to help and goes the extra mile, making her a deserving recipient of this award.
Rivers End Restaurant Guide: Coni Murphy
A steadfast anchor for the BOH team, Coni’s dedication to providing exceptional service even during challenging times shines through. She’s a leader who always puts guests and colleagues first.
Big Wesser Restaurant Guide: Wesley Barnett
Wes stepped up to a Lead PM role in his second year, handling challenges with grace and a positive attitude. His dedication to providing guests with the best possible experience has earned him high praise.
Relia's Garden Guide: Danelle Sneidar
Danelle’s first season with NOC was remarkable. Her fantastic customer service and positive energy as Lead AM Cook have earned her rave reviews from guests and colleagues.
Paddling Instruction Guide: Chris Massey

Aerial Guide: Jeff Lluis

Nantahala Guide: Jacob Israel

Adventure Center Guide: Gabe Kinner
