Explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, just outside Bryson City, with a professional guide!
Few places like Deep Creek combine the best of the region all in one 2.5 mile hike. This half day tour will bring you face to face with close views of three pristine waterfalls and sparkling streams. This scenic excursion will also take you past some of the oldest geological features in the Park where your guide will point out a wide variety of wildflowers and other unique plants, insects, and more!
This trip is great for most ages to explore and see more of what the region has to offer with knowledgeable and passionate guides from NOC partner, A Walk in the Woods. Pair it with an adventure back in Bryson City as NOC’s main Nantahala River Campus. Please note: Participants will meet at the Deep Creek Trailhead. Before entry, all visitors must purchase a parking permit before entering the park.

Before You Visit
- This hike will be lead by professional guides from NOC partner, A Walk in the Woods. The hike is considered easy.
- Total time for the hike will be 3-3.5 hours. Light snacks provided (some nut-based). You are welcome to bring alternative or additional snacks if needed.
- Please bring at least 16 ounces of water for each person and make sure everyone wears sturdy walking/hiking shoes.
- You may also want to bring a rain jacket or poncho. A backpack is recommended to carry items in.
- Parking passes are now required in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You will need to purchase a parking pass at the Deep Creek Trailhead.
- Professional guides are provided in this activity.
- A Walk in the Woods will provide light snacks for the hike (some nut-based).
- Please bring at least 16 ounces of water for each person and make sure everyone wears sturdy walking/hiking shoes.

- Participants must be able to walk 2.5 miles unassisted on rough, uneven terrain for the hike.
- This activity is best for ages 6+. All minors (17 and under) require the presence of an adult during activities.
