Chattahoochee River – Metro Outposts & Recreation

Exploring the stunning beauty and serenity of the Chattahoochee River is one of the top things to do for Atlanta’s residents and visitors.

Nantahala Outdoor Center’s Metro Atlanta Outposts are strategically positioned just north of downtown, at Powers Island in Sandy Springs and Johnson Ferry in Marietta, within the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. You can choose from a variety of river trips and rentals including tubing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), rafting, and inflatable kayaks. Whether opting for a half-day or full-day rental, you and your group can enjoy up to eight miles of serene flatwater and gentle Class I-II whitewater.

Youth Programs & Summer Camp

NOC hosts an array of programs and summer camps for children and teenagers, designed to engage them outdoors, teach new skills, and provide loads of fun! Our multi-day camps at both outpost locations offer participants a mix of water sports or mountain biking, all under the guidance of our seasoned instructors. You can check out what we offer at Chattahoochee Youth Programs & Summer Camps.
