Chattahoochee River – Metro Outposts & Recreation

Exploring the stunning beauty and serenity of the Chattahoochee River is one of the top things to do for Atlanta’s residents and visitors.

Nantahala Outdoor Center’s Metro Atlanta Outposts are conveniently located just north of downtown at Powers Island in Sandy Springs and Johnson Ferry in Marietta in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Choose from a number of river trips and rentals like tubing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), rafting, and inflatable kayaks. With half-day and full-day rentals available, you and your group can shoot the ‘Hooch with up to eight miles of flatwater and Class I-II whitewater.

Youth Programs & Summer Camp

NOC hosts a variety of kid and teen programs and summer camps to get kids outdoors, learn new skills, and just have fun! Our multi-day camps across both outpost locations introduce participants to a variety of water sports or mountain biking, all led by our experienced guides. You can check out what we offer at Chattahoochee Youth Programs & Summer Camps.
