Kyle Silber is an experienced paddling instructor with over 4 years of experience teaching whitewater kayaking, raft guide schools, and swiftwater rescue courses. He holds certifications, including ACA Level 5 Advanced whitewater kayak instructor, Swiftwater rescue instructor, and WFR (Wilderness first responder). Kyle is also a NOC Master Guide and was awarded the NOC Instructor of the year in 2022. He is passionate about water sports and has been involved in kayaking, canoeing, and sailing since he was young. Kyle holds a BA in Anthropology and Psychology from Guilford College. He has been with the NOC since 2016 and is proud of the wonderful connections he has made with the community. In his free time, Kyle enjoys surfing, small engine repair and maintenance, hiking with his two hound dogs, and playing team sports. He is most proud of the friendships he has made and the skill sets he has cultivated during his time at NOC. Kyle finds it difficult to pick just one favorite river or adventure at NOC or in the southeast, as there are so many beautiful rivers in the area.
