Overview

During this 5-day Ducky Dash Camp, teens will build confidence and have a blast paddling their own crafts on some of the Southeast’s most fun and scenic rivers.

Designed for teens that have previously attended our Southeastern River Explorer Camp, this week is all about exploration, skill-building, and enjoying the water with a great group of fellow paddlers. We’ll start with two days on the metro Chattahoochee River, giving campers plenty of time to get comfortable in their duckies and refine their technique. Then we’ll venture to two beloved regional rivers: the Cartecay River, known for its beautiful scenery and playful Class II rapids — including the crowd-pleasing Blackberry Falls — and North Carolina’s Nantahala River, where cool mountain water and continuous flow make for an exciting but approachable ride, ending with the iconic Nantahala Falls.

This camp is designed for intermediate to advanced paddlers who are ready to spend more time in their own boats while exploring new rivers and growing their river knowledge, always with the support of our experienced guides.

What to Expect

Teens will paddle their own crafts down splashing whitewater in the Southeast. Counselors will provide safety and advanced paddle training to empower teens to navigate rapids. Campers are expected to have prior NOC camp experience and the ability to paddle with the group. Participants will begin by getting outfitted with the latest in river gear before heading out onto each river with NOC Guides. Campers will break for lunch, so make sure to pack a filling meal!
  • Camp will run Monday through Friday.
  • Participants will check in at our NOC Metro location (5450 Interstate N Pkwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328). Start and end times will vary between days.
  • On M/W/F, camp will run from 9AM-3PM. On T/Th, camp will run from 8AM-6PM due to out-of-town travel.
