Jonny Ortiz is a Western North Carolina original and first came to NOC as a guest while growing up. He now calls the Nantahala Gorge his home – but you won’t catch him sitting still for long. Armed with a contagious energy, he has spent the last 9 years chasing whitewater adventures all over the world.
You can find Jonny attaining upstream, surfing the 2013 Freestyle Wave on the Nantahala River, or stern squirting his way down local runs. Jonny is the Paddlesports Buyer at the NOC Outfitter’s Store and enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife, Amy.
